On September 11, we pause to remember the people who lost their lives, the families whose lives changed forever and the first responders who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape it.
We also remember the countless ordinary people who helped strangers, opened their homes, donated blood, checked on neighbors and found ways to serve during an unimaginable moment.
Remembrance does not have to be loud, political or complicated. Sometimes it simply means taking a moment to reflect, honoring the people who were lost and recognizing the courage and humanity shown in the hours, days and years that followed.
Today, we extend our gratitude to the first responders, service members, healthcare workers, volunteers and families who carried—and continue to carry—the weight of that day.
From our Rainbow Row Real Estate family here in the Lowcountry, we remember with respect.
